Data You Give Us Directly
The search forms on this site pass what you type (a name, a phone number, or an address) to the third-party search provider that powers the results. We do not keep a copy of your searches on our own servers. If you contact us, we receive whatever you choose to include in your message and use it only to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create ordinary server logs that may contain an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate to maintain the site and learn which resources visitors use. Cookies or comparable technology may also support basic analytics and, when used, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
The information described above helps us run the site, diagnose errors, count visits, and improve content. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Websites
Links may lead to government portals, Sonoma County and California records offices, library collections, or outside search providers. Information submitted after leaving Windsor People Search is controlled by the destination's own policy, not this one. The same distinction applies to sponsored results supplied by a third party.
Who Might See Your Data
Service providers that host and support this site process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We will disclose data if a valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise share visitor data.
Safeguarding Your Information
An encrypted connection delivers the site. Server logs are kept only for as long as the purposes listed above require. Windsor People Search has no user-account system, so it holds no visitor password or account profile.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your California Privacy Rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to know about, correct, or delete personal information held by a business. California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. Because Windsor People Search holds very little, we can generally check our contact mailbox and server logs for a request. Use the Contact page to reach us.
California's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform provides a separate route for deletion requests to registered data brokers. Civil Code section 1798.99.86(c) governs data-broker use of that mechanism, subject to legal exceptions. Neither a request to us nor a DROP request removes an official record held by the Town of Windsor, Sonoma County, or a California agency. Questions about an official record must go to its custodian.
Changes to This Policy
Any revised policy will appear here. If you keep using Windsor People Search after an update is posted, you accept the revised terms.
